My background is in fine arts with professional experience in UX/UI, advertising, graphic and branding design in both corporate and startup settings. I graduated from OCAD University and George Brown College in Toronto, Canada.
I am currently working for UC Berkeley at the Art and Design department to create user-friendly remote teaching and learning experiences for instructors and students in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, Interior Design and Interior Architecture programs. The exciting thing about my job is to help learners achieve their educational goals through uncomplicated journeys and effective curriculum planning with concise learning objectives. It requires deep understanding of design thinking, information architecture and content strategy to help users stay engaged within the remote learning space.
I was previously working for an industrial design startup in San Francisco as a Social Communication / Graphic Designer. I designed visual communications for digital marketing and graphic collateral to elevate the brand through effective social media, content strategy and photography while promoted the startup as a sustainable design firm in the marketplace.
I am based out of San Francisco Bay Area with a dual citizenship in both U.S and Canada. I have lived in five cities and three countries for a long period of time. It required an open mind to observe and absorb people and cultures from a unique perspective. It makes me a more empathetic person and a more sensitive designer. I am also passionate about continuous learning and higher education. I can speak four languages fluently - English, French, Cantonese and Mandarin.
